2004:

Bly earned his second consecutive trip to the Pro Bowl as he led Detroit with four interceptions and 26 passes defensed. In 13 games (13 starts), he posted 33 tackles (26 solo), four interceptions (107) and 26 passes defensed. Despite missing three games with a knee injury, Bly became the first Lion to lead the club outright in interceptions during consecutive years since Bobby Watkins (1984-85). Bly sustained a knee injury in the first quarter of the season opener at Chi. (9/12) that forced him to be declared inactive for three games. Bly recorded two games with two interceptions, including his performance at Dal. (10/31) when he compiled 85 yards, including a 55-yard touchdown return. The scoring return marked the fifth scoring return of his career. He notched his second multiple-interception game of the season at Ari. (12/5) as part of his seven passes defensed. His first pick ended Arizona's drive late in the second quarter while his second set up a field goal. In Detroit's final home game of the season vs. Chi. (12/26), Bly posted four passes defensed to help limit the Bears to 114 passing yards.
